St. Leonard’s Youth Community
Mission
We believe that this world and the people who live in it have been created by God. For us this means that we were created for a relationship with our Creator and the other people He has created. We find passionate worship, Bible teaching, personal devotion and prayer central parts of our relationship with God. We also value our relationships with each other; being active in a community is part of God’s plan for us and part of a healthy faith in God. We also believe that reaching the people who don’t know Jesus, helping the poor and reaching out to this broken world is part of the overflow of our relationship with God.
Values
1. A relationship with Jesus Christ is the central part of our faith.
2. Jesus provided a way for us into that relationship with God through dying on the cross for our sins and then coming back to life after three days.
3. We value our church family. We believe that God created us for healthy relationships with other Christians.
4. We value outreach. We value building relationships with people outside the church community.
5. We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God.
6. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the person of the Godhead who empowers us every day to live a life passionate for God.
7. We believe in the Godhead, or Trinity, demonstrated at the baptism of Jesus: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
8. We believe in the Great Commission as the mandate for every church community to reach locally, nationally and internationally to the people who don’t know about Jesus Christ.
*If you wish to discuss the statements above, to better understand what we believe, then please contact the Youth Office. Details are provided on the Contact Us page.
St. Leonard’s Church, Chesham Bois
St Leonard’s is a lively evangelical Anglican church in a small town setting, 25 miles north of London adjacent to Amersham and Chesham.
We are mindful of the call to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus to today’s generation. With God’s help through the power of the Holy Spirit, we seek to ‘Reach Teach Mend and Send’ encouraging and helping one another to ‘Receive God’s Love and Share it with Others’.
We value the presence and activity of God in His church, worship, scripture, prayer, and grace.
We recognise that the imperative of the Great Commission goes hand in hand with the Great Commandment.
We are members of the Evangelical Alliance and have been much influenced by Alpha, New Wine and Willow Creek
We are committed to Bible-based teaching and preaching, prayer and reliance upon the Holy Spirit, seeking to heal, encourage, equip and release members into their ministries and callings. We are open to new forms of worship, ministry and evangelism that will spread the Gospel and see the Kingdom of God influence our communities and nations.

i go to YSL every sunday. people think of church as a big scary place where everyone is mad about God. i know people who have gone to church for years but have only just got to realy know who god is. if you come to YSL people won’t judge by weather you put your hands up or read the bible every day there just glad to see you have come.
Argh! HTML rather than BB coding! ‘Tis difficult!
Anyyyyway, I’m Edmund. Not sure we’re supposed to comment on who we are…but Rebecca did so I’ll just follow the example.
I go to YSL pretty much every Sunday, I try for every. I’m going on the youth weekend away too! Huzzah!
People think anything run by church is GOD, GOD, GOD. YSL is a youth group that likes to conect with God. But the partys they run (bowling, Bonfire) are all baised around having fun and anyone can come. at YSL your never judged. it’s been a place of peace fore me for years.
